Preparing for the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, the BJP on Wednesday appointed election incharges for 17 states assigning former Gujarat Minister Gordhan Zadafia, once a close aide of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in the crucially-important state of Uttar Pradesh, which sends 80 MPs to the Lower House of Parliament.
