Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee was admitted to the Delhi AIIMS for a urinary tract infection, the hospital said. In a statement issued at 10.45 pm, on Monday, the AIIMS said Vajpayee, who was admitted to the hospital following complaints of a lower respiratory tract infection and kidney issues, was diagnosed with a urinary tract infection. Appropriate treatment was being administered to him under the supervision of a team of doctors, it added.
